The New World of Publishing

“The times they are a changin'”

Bob Dylan’s prophetic words are hitting the publishing industry like a five ton wrecking ball.  The ‘old’ publishing, with its year lag time and its tens of thousands of dollars price tag, is out, and the ‘new’ publishing, accomplished in under an hour and virtually free, is most definitely in.

Check out this website that explains in detail with clear screen shots the process of getting your book uploaded to Amazon.com for downloading on their Kindle e-reader platform.

How to upload your book to be available on Kindle’s e-reader

And while you ponder your literary future on the cool and crafty Kindle, take a moment to hear the words of the prophet-Dylan.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won’t come again
And don’t speak too soon
For the wheel’s still in spin
And there’s no tellin’ who that it’s namin’
For the loser now will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin’

Hey! You can’t quote Bob Dylan! You’re a preacher for Goodness sake! Just kidding. It’s nice to see a man of the cloth appreciate a secular genius. I really enjoyed his Christian stint with Slow Train Comin’, Shot Of Love, and I forget the other one. Like the style, keep it up.

  2. Floyd,

    Thanks for stopping in.

Perhaps it used to be that preachers couldn’t quote Dylan, but as mentioned “the times they are a changin’.” How ’bout that. 🙂

    Come back often.

    Brotherly,
    JP
